HISTORY OF ELEKTRA

In 1980 Okay BÜYÜKDEĞİRMENCİ, Fethi KASIM and Armağan ŞAKAR began production of High Voltage transformers for television industry. In 1982 ELEKTRA ELEKTRONIK SANAYI VE TICARET LTD. ŞTİ. was founded and extended its product range in 10 years from 1 VA mono phase transformers to 400kVA threephase transformers. In 1988 the firm began computer aided designing of the transformers with a self-made transformer software. 1988 was also the beginning for the production of high frequency transformers. First export was made to Schneider Electrotechnik GmbH in Germany. A great deal of technical co-operation was made with Schnedier Electrotechnik GmbH. In 1991 ELEKTRA moved to its present building in Bagcilar. Transformer production for SIEMENS TURKEY began in 1996. That production still continues as Control-Safety isolation transformers for SIEMENS TURKEY today. In 1997 ISO 9000 Quality Management System Certificate was granted to ELEKTRA. In the year 2006, the firm constucted a brand new factory using its own resources.

Today ELEKTRA serves the electrical industry with wide prduct range, high technical capacity and technical support. Presently 9 engineers, 10 technicians and 110 workers are working to satisfy the transformer requirements of the industry. Today ELEKTRA presents finest products and technical support in a wide variety to its customers, with ISO 9000 philosophy.
